Calendering is the process of smoothing the surface of the paper by pressing it between rollers. Here at Larsen Converting Industries, we have the ability to calender both hot and cold pressed. In cold pressed calendering, finished sheets of paper are pressed between cold cylinders to produce a slightly textured surface. Alternatively, hot pressed calendering produces a smooth surfaced paper by pressing a finished sheet of paper through hot cylinders. Our calendering capabilities are shown below: - Hot and cold calendering up to 52" wide
- Two nips available
- Paper and nonwoven
- 10# to 100# basis weight
- 80" diameter on, 65" off
- Slit and trim in-line
